A fully promoted Teaching Professor within the Biology Department who teaches introductory Biology courses within the FSC and upper-division classes for Biology majors. Dr. Young was named the Director of the FSC in July 2023.

Our dedicated faculty strive for excellence in teaching and in the use of sound pedagogical practices that allow our students to grow in their discipline-specific knowledge and skills, as well as in critical-thinking, problem-solving, knowledge of campus resources, and self-advocacy.
